SCHOOL OPENING TIMES
School opens for the statutory 32.5 hours per week.
Year 1- Year 6
Our school gate opens at 8.40 a.m. for the 10 minute 'kiss and drop' window in the school car park.
The school day begins at 8.50 a.m. and finishes at 3.20 p.m. *(see separate arrangements for Year R below)
At the end of the day, parents should use the car park ‘snake’ system and collect their children from the classroom terrace doors.
Children arriving after 8.50 a.m. will be classed as late and those arriving after 9 a.m. will be counted as late after registers closed.
*Year R parents pick up time is 2.50 p.m.
WRAP AROUND CARE
Before School Clubs
We run our own breakfast club 'Rise & Shine', every morning in the school hall (Mon-Fri). Sessions run from 8.00 am until 8.45 am. Places cost £4.75 per session and include a light breakfast. Places for this club can be booked via the on-line Scopay Tucasi system.
After School Clubs
We have a varied selection of after school clubs and activities at St. Finian's.
There are sports clubs 2 days per week run by U-Sports from 3.15pm to 4.45pm. There is a different club each day which currently includes, football and gymnastics. This is revised every term with some clubs changing to a different sport. Sessions can be booked and paid direct with USports.
We also host a Glee Club on a Tuesday after school and a Mini Glee Club on Thursday lunch times; these can be booked via the Tucasi Scopay system.
Our after school club runs operates every day from our Community Room and is run by Get Active (Active Care) every day from 3.20pm until 6.00pm. Sessions can be booked directly through their website.
Our STEAM club (science, technology, engineering, art, maths) runs for Yr 6 children every Friday after school. Places are limited to x8 in the group.
SCHOOL MEALS
Lunchtime at St Finian's is at 12noon - 1pm. You can either provide your child with a packed lunch (including drink) or order school dinners through SchoolGrid. You can order food choices and pay online or via direct debit. All KS1 (EYFS - Year 2) children receive a free school meal.

We are a nut-free school. Children should not bring in any products containing nuts, including peanut butter or nutella sandwiches!
Milk is available for rising-5 children in YR who want it. Once they are five, you can opt in to purchase milk for them. All children in Key Stage One receive a portion of Fruit or Vegetable daily under a government scheme and water is always available.
PARENT FORUM
Our class parent representatives meet with 2 members of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) 4 - 6 times a year. The aim of these sessions is to foster a collaborative relationship between parents and school leadership to support the education and social development of pupils.
