With Christ at the centre, we continue our St Finian's journey by learning about the world around us in a creative way. In Year 4 we are becoming established independent learners placing a strong emphasis on Growth Mindset and the learning behaviours of the 4R's-Resourcefulness, Reciprocity, Resilience and Reflectiveness.

There will be lots of interesting and exciting learning as we explore the curriculum, and we will have some opportunities to share our fabulous work with you at open afternoon on a Friday.

A strong home school link is essential for ensuring every child gets the most out of their learning. We ask that parents support their child by:

• Providing them with daily opportunities to read with an adult – please date and comment in your child’s reading journal
• Helping them to learn their times tables up to 12x12 (TTRockstars or Hit the button could be used)
• Supporting them to complete their home learning to a high standard each week (most of which will be set online using Tapestry).
• Encouraging independence by remembering book bags and the equipment needed for each day.
