STATUATORY ASSESSMENTS

At the end of Year 6, children take the statutory Key Stage 2 National Curriculum Assessments, commonly known as SATs. The tests take place in May and assess children’s knowledge and understanding in English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (SPAG), English Reading, and Mathematics. The results are one part of the overall picture of a child’s progress and attainment alongside teacher assessments in English Writing and Science

During this time, our priority is to support children to feel confident, prepared and positive as they approach the assessments.
